The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Australia is an umbrella organisation for all States in Australia.
Not all States and territories in Australia have their own Associations.
As at July 2016, all PWS Associations in Australia are considering a new structure. With the start of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), there will be national consistency in the supply of disability support services. Therefore, a nation-wide approach from the Associations is being considered.
The NDIS has been a catalyst for reviewing the relationship between PWS associations and resources across Australia.
Different States will continue to offer local, on-the-ground support, social and training activities. This may occur as a branches model.
